Mangalore : Prasad Attavar, state Joint Convener of Sri Rama Sene (SRS) who was arrested on grounds of being associated with underworld don Ravi Poojary, finally secured bail.
The other associates like Amrit Karkera and Ramachandra, arrested on the same grounds, have also been released on bail.
The district and sessions court on condition to provide two sureties and personal bonds worth Rs 25,000 each, have granted bail to Ramachandra, Prasad Attavar, and Amrit Karkera on June 25 and will be released on June 28, Monday after being behind bars for four months.
According to the police, Prasad Attavar used to help underworld don Ravi Poojary in collecting ransom. He was accused of having provided financial assistance to those who conspired to murder entrepreneurs Mendon and Devanand Shetty according to Poojary’s instructions.
