Mangalore: Lokayukta Justice N. Santosh Hegde came down from Bangalore to inaugurate a second seminar for graduate students of social work (MSW) held in Sri Ramakrishna Math on the second day, today. He delivered the keynote address after Swami Jitakamanandaji welcomed and introduced him to the learned audience.
The Lokayukta pointed to the rampant corruption in the country in education, sports, personal lives, and public life, eating into vital cultures of this country, and sought its removal by educated youth. He interacted with the students after his address, and answered several queries.
Venkatesh Murthy of “Youth for Seva” NGO in Bangalore, also spoke to the students. He was followed by Prof. Swapan Garain of Tata Social Science Institute of Mumbai, and Swami Sarvasthanandaji of Rajkot .
The scholars were listened to under rapt attention by 600 graduate students on their social responsibilities.
