Udupi : Kota Srinivas Poojary, Minister, said on Thursday that Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa had directed the officers to give priority to the effective implementation of Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act, 2010 in the State.
He was speaking at a religious programme related to Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations at Rajangana here.
Mr. Poojary said there was no dearth of funds to help flood-hit people in north Karnataka and other parts to rebuild their lives. He urged the seers to pray for peace in the society and welfare of the people in the State.
Vidyadheesha Tirtha Swami of Paryaya Palimar Mutt said that India should become the leader among the nations of the world. There should be no problem of drought or excessive rainfall during monsoon in the country. If there was any problem due to this, it should get solved, he said.
