Mangaluru: Srinivas University, along with the A. Shama Rao Foundation and Srinivas Group of Colleges, successfully concluded the spiritual celebrations at Vaikunta, the tranquil Srinivas Campus nestled in Valachil, Mangalore. The event marked a profound expression of devotion and cultural richness.
The day commenced with reverence as devotees participated in Gana Homa at 4:30 AM, followed by the Prathishta Prasanna Pooja. The Prathishta ceremony took place at 7:40 AM under the auspicious Kumbha Lagnam, featuring Kalashabhisheka, Vishnu Sahasranama Havana, Kalpokta Pooja, and Dhampathi Pooja. These rituals invoked divine blessings and sanctified the surroundings with spirituality.
Srinivasa Kalyanotsava:
In the evening, the festivities continued with the Srinivasa Kalyanotsava, commencing at 4:30 PM and extending into the night until Consummation at Godhooli Lagnam. This sacred ceremony symbolized the celestial union of Lord Srinivasa and his consort, showcasing the epitome of divine love and devotion. The idols of Shri God for Kalyanotsava arrived from Udupi Chitpadi.
Shri Murthy of Srinivasa Kalyana was brought from Chitpadi, Udupi along with Shri Devi and Shri Bhu Devi. Srinivasa Kalyana Narrated by Vidwan Dr. B.Gopal Acharya, Vidwan Narayana Saralaya, Srilakshmi Acharya, Sri Vidya Karanta on the song, Dr. Shridhara Acharya on the violin, Vidwan Balachandra Bagwat on mridanga, Vidwan Karthik Bhat on rhythm pad, Raghavendra Tantri Kukkukate assisted in overall management of Srinivasa Kalyana.
Sri Sri Vidyavallabha Theertha Swamiji of Kanyyur Mutt arrived at the program and offered puja to the deity and wished the program well.
