Mangalore: BSR Congress Founder and President Sriramulu has said that his party has not received any request from local politicians to join his party.

Speaking to reporters on the occasion of the arrival of his Swabhimani Sankalpa Yatra in Mangalore on August 2, Thursday,  Sriramulu also made it clear that  his party too has not contacted any politician. This response has come after  former  coastal development authority chairman Nagaraj Shetty of the BJP claiming that he had an invitation from Sriramulu to join BSR Congress.

He said his party wants to emerge as a major party  and will think in terms of forging alliance with other regional parties, depending on the circumstances.

However, Sriramulu  refused to comment when  scribes wanted to know his reaction to his name also getting a mention in the illegal mining case. He only said the matter was before the court.
