Mangalore : District President of Sri Rama Sene Kumar Malemar said that Drug Mafia has spread in city like mushroom and the urged the district administration to take action against the drug peddlers.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Feb 6, Wednesday, he said that in order to crack down the drug mafia and youths becoming prey to it, the Hindu organisation have conducted raids at many Pubs and Disco techs.
Malemar said that many left political parties during the recent Homestay attack by the SRS have organized protest opposing it, but now any of them are not coming front to oppose drug mafia and condemn the death of Sneha Upadhya.
Earlier it was Ashwini and now it is Sneha who are the victims of drug mafia, but still the district administration are not aware of it, he said.
The police department has filed case against Subash Padil and 37 other Hindu activists and arrested who have tried to crack down drug mafia, but they are not taking action against the places like Goldfinch, Liquid Lounge, Empire Mall and City Centre, where Disco techs function till mid-night and police officials do not take any actions against these activities, he said.
He also said that if district administration does not take action against these locations of dug mafia, then SRS will hold protest.
SRS activists Jeevan Neermarga, Mohan Padavinangady, Ganesh Attavar and Mahesh Bhat were present at the press meet.
