Mangalore : Kumar Malemar, divisional chief of Sri Ram Sena speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Aug 3, Saturday said that the illegal cattle transport and illegal abattoir are increasing in the district after the Congress Government came to power in the state.
He said that these days cow slaughtering is taking place openly in large number. Recently Chief Minister Siddaramaiah announced to continue the law of 1964 and rejected Anti Cow Slaughter Bill decided by BJP government, which resulted to open cattle transport and slaughter.
Kumar said recently some of the miscreants had threatened the family showing weapons and carried away their Jersey Cow worth Rs 20,000. Further Hindu society will teach a lesson to these miscreants in the coming days, he said.
He also said that even after knowing the information, MLA Mohiddin Bawa has not visited the victims house, but SRS appreciated his effort to rescue 13 cows during the raid taken place at illegal abattoir by Panambur Station Inspector Bharathi. He also urged the Government to provide compensation to the victims who lost their cow.
Sri Ram Sena members Jeevan Neermarga, Mahesh Bhat, Ganesh Attavar and Mahesh Padavinangady were present at the press meet.
