Mangalore: The Nagarika Hitarakshana Vedike honoured Prajwal S, a student of the Kannada medium school of Alva’s Educational Foundation, for scoring 613 in the SSLC examination of this year. He is the top scorer in the Kannada medium section in the entire state by getting    98.08 per cent.

Hailing from Andinje near Venoor in Belthangady taluk, the Alva’s Education Foundation has sponsored the education of this meritorious student.

The Nagarika Vedike President Hanumanth Kamath honoured him with a cash award of Rs 10,000. Even Harish Rai, President of the Working Journalists’ Association, Vedavyas Rao of Sevanjali Trust and Ramakrishna Rao, President of Press Club were present.
