Mangalore : A community awareness programme on Waste Management was held at the St Agnes College auditorium on December 17 Monday under the auspices of the Department of Commerce of the College. .
Max Rasquinha, founder of Toastmasters Club and director of International Institute of Public Policy (IIPP), who was the chief guest said it was the duty of every individual to protect nature and environment. He spoke on the effort made to create environment awareness even in the US.
Scott Mc Carley from Texas, USA was also present as a chief guest. Prof. Devi Prabha who delivered the key note address, said extracurricular activities go a long way in the development of the personality of the students . She also appreciated the efforts put in by the students to create awareness on environment
Students presented yakshagana, skits, mime acts etc on the topic of awareness on waste management.
