Mangalore: The student and teachers of St. Agnes’ College celebrated their annual College Day with Programmes and speeches, conducted in high spirits on Tuesday, Jan.31. There were songs, plays and tableaus, and daces.
KHC Judge B.V.Pinto was the chief guest, on occasion presided over by Sr. Carmel Rita. Students eagerly heard Justice Pinto talk.
Justice Pinto kindly asked girl to get in to legal profession to be judge and legal administrators. He pointed to a large in balance in legal field between men and women, as practicing advocates and judges.
Women can bring about a large transformation if they entered legal profession in hundreds, to crate a healthy influence in political affairs. This will lead to a change in society for the better, pinto indicated.
He have away Roll of Honour to student excelling in academics. SR. Rita gave away prizes to all other achievers, as in sports.
Tagore was remembered on his 150th birthday with a Bengali dance. A Manipuri dance had special appeal to viewers.
