Mangalore : The journalism department of St. Aloysius College organized ‘Shooting Stars’, a national film-making competition at Eric Mathaias Hall on March 24, Saturday.
Sadananda Suvarna, the award-winning film maker and theatre artiste, participated as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that short films are more effective than long commercial films. He also appreciated the effort of the students for making the documentaries and briefed on the importance of sound, lighting, camera, and other factors in film making
The films like Tulunada Garjane, The Flying Bird, Tiffin Box, Veiled Truth, Aasthamayam were screened. Apart from it the documentary made by the students of St. Aloysius College, Fr. Muller Homeopathic Medical College and Maharaja College of Kochi were also screened.
Veronica Judith Pinto, the vice principal, was the guest of honor. Dr. Richard Rego delivered the presidential address.
