Mangalore: National Integration Day was observed at St Aloysius Pre-University College in Mangalore on August 17, Friday. The theme of the Day was “Many Voices, One Vision.”
JR Lobo, former director of Pilikula Nisargadhama who was the chief guest, said peace and unity can prevail in the society when differences on the basis of caste, creed are eradicated. Referring to the mass exodus of people from north eastern state, he said this was due to mistrust.
Presiding over the function, Fr Joseph Rodrigues, Rector of St Aloysius Institutions said national integration is the need of the day.
Fr Elvis Luis, Principal of St Aloysius PU College, Rekha Alva, Vice Principal, Dr Joseph D’Souza, PTA Vice President, Sapna Yogish, Students Council President and others were present.
