Mangalore : St Joseph’s Industrial Training Centre and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has Jointly launch a manpower development programme Today Evening. Through this initiative, the company will offer training and infrastructural support to the institute, thereby scaling students’ employability in the automobile industry.

Speaking on the partnership, Mr Sanjoy Gupta, vice president- customer care, Automotive Sector, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, said that ‘With the boom in the Indian Automobile industry over the last few years, there has been an increasing need for state-of –the institutes and skilled professionals in the sector. As a socially responsible corporate, we wish to address this resource crunch in the Indian industry by helping to develop skilled manpower via relevant industry- academia partnerships.
Further Mr. RC Rodrigues, dealer-owner, Karnataka Agencies said that, ‘we are happy to support this initiative of M&M and will facilitate ‘on the job’ training in our workshops. On successful completion of the course we shall provide employment in the dealership.
JB Crasta, director, St Joseph’s Industrial Training Centre, Mangalore, said that by providing relevant training to the students of St Joseph’s Industrial Training Centre, Mangalore, Mahindra will play a major role in creating required skill sets. This partnership will also result in employment creation as students will be able to effectively leverage their skills in the auto industry.
