Mangalore : A protest rally was held in front of DCO in the afternoon of Nov.15 in regard to coming visit of Gujarath Chief Minister Narendra Modi to Bangalore and various other places in Karnataka on a publicity packed on the eve of General Elections due in May 2014. Modi is projected as next PM by BJP, which Karnataka Komu Souharda Vedike (KKSV) does not like, because the Vedike members regard him as a fascist who does not listen to other people’s views but is own.
The KKSV speakers at the rally warned the people at large that internal vigilance is the price of liberty and to be wary about Modi and such other personalities in BJP or any other ruling party, if they want to continue with a democratic rule.
The Vedike leaders did not trust Modi as a common mans guide or friend, so Vedike said he was unfit to rule in India in 2014 or any other future date. Modi should confine himself to Gujarath and not go elsewhere in India. He was not welcome either in Bangalore or in Mangalore, the leader said.
A Shava-Yathra had been arranged at the rally for fascism but no effigy was burnt at the site due to police bandobust on all sites.
The leaders put 16 questions to Modi on the occasion to answer them to the point and expected him to refer to these queries in his various speeches starting from Nov.17 in Bangalore and other cities of Karnataka on his political tour.
Dr Bhoomi Gowda, Ali Hasan of Central Muslim Committee, Suresh Bhat Bakrabail, and P B D’Sa and others participated in the rally attended by crowds.
