Udupi: A state convention of workers of the Akhila Bharatha Hindu Mahasabha was held at the Poorna Prajna Auditorium here on February 28, Thursday. The new president was also installed on the occasion. The function was inaugurated by Sri Vidyananda Swamiji of Udupi.
Subrahmanya Raju, the outgoing President of the Association handed over the Sabha flag to Shravana Kumar Raikar, the new President on the occasion.
Sri Rama Sene Founder President Pramod Mutalik who was the chief guest, said the need of the hour was a political party based on Hindu principles. At the same time, he said a party which was based on Hindutva principles which came to power in Karnataka has belied expectations of the people.
Dinesh Bogle Mumbai, leader of the Sabha, Mohan Gowda, Vasudeva Bhat and others were present on the occasion.
