Mangaluru : BJP leader Jagadish Shettar inaugurated the BJP membership drive at the District BJP office on Friday Nov 21.
After inaugurating the membership drive, he alleged that the State government has failed to create the 43 new taluks that was announced by him when he was the Chief Minister.
The State government led by the Congress has not released any funds or recruited the staff required for creating new taluks. The State government has ignored creating new taluks fearing that its credit would go to the BJP, he alleged.
He said, Kadaba, Brahmavar and Moodbidri were supposed to be new taluks, but the plan has not been executed.
The former Chief Minister said that BJP would lay siege to the Suvarna Soudha at Belagavi on December 9 to protest against what Mr. Shettar alleged as “failure of the government in administration.” He reiterated that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah should drop four “tainted ministers” from the Cabinet before the Belagavi session or else, the BJP would disturb the proceedings of the House.
Mr. Shettar alleged that the law and order in the State had collapsed. CID failed to investigate Thirthahalli Nanditha case. Sexual assaults on women also raised. The state government also supporting to the open sex like Kiss of Love campaign in public.
The government not taken any action against illegal mining and sand mafia and political leaders too were involved in this, he alleged.
The government is not doing anything for the poor,more than 32 lakh BPL cards have been cancelled, the state administration total failed. he added.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, District president Prataph Simha Nayak, Former MLC Monappa Bhandary, Sanjeeva Matandoor, Nagaraj Shetty, Kumble Sundar Rao, Mallika Prasad and other leaders were present.
