Mangaluru : State BJP President B Y Vijayendra has alleged that the state government has completely failed in drought management.
The new BJP State Chief who arrived in Mangaluru for the first time after taking charge of his new position,in Mangaluru on November 22, Wednesday, said the state government and ministers who need to discuss drought management are instead discussing about next Lok Sabha elections and appointments to boards and corporations. The government is not releasing funds for development, the BJP will take up these issues in next assembly session, he said.
He reiterated that no one will quit the BJP and added that efforts would be made to bring back those who deserted the party.
Vijayendra said the BJP was not against caste census but against using it for political gains.
He said the CM must seek the resignation of minister Zameer Ahmed Khan who he said has offended the post of Speaker.
The BJP, he said aims at winning 28 seats in the state in the next LS elections.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLAs Vedavyas Kamath, Umanath Kotian, Bharath Shetty, Harish Poonja, Bhagirathi Murulya, Mayor Sudhir Shetty Kannur, DK BJP Chief Sudarshan Moodbidri and others were present.
