Mangaluru: “The state government led by CM Siddaramaiah is not showing any interest to solve the problems at drought hit areas in the state,” said BJP state General Secretary N Ravi Kumar.
Speaking to media personnel on Tuesday at district BJP office, he said that 42 taluks and 13 districts have been announced as drought hit in Karnataka. Even the primary measures also not been taken to provide relief to the people.
“This shows the negligence attitude of the government. The government has also neglected the Krishi Sanchayi Scheme and Crop insurance Scheme, which would have provided immediate relief to the drought, hit areas. It has made living of farmers more difficult,” he said.
He further said that five teams of BJP leaders will be formed, who will inspect the severity of the drought in the state. The report will be submitted to the Central government and necessary help will be sought.
