Bengaluru : Minister for Primary and Secondary Education S. Suresh Kumar on Friday said that the state government will contemplate on the issue of banning Popular Front of India (PFI) and the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) organisations following the violence witnessed in Mangaluru during the anti-CAA stir,
Speaking to presspersons in Bengaluru here, Suresh Kumar said that the matter will be discussed in the cabinet. “Both the outfits need to be banned as they instigate violence and disturb peace in the society,” he said.
Notably, other BJP leaders, including state BJP president had called for banning the two organisations. Earlier yesterday (Dec 26) state Tourism Minister alleged that Congress had joined hands with PFI and SDPI to destabilize the state government and was misleading people over the CAA issue.
