Mangalore : C. Manjula former Chairperson of the Karnataka State Women’s Commission said that both the state government and the central government have failed to crack down the drug mafia, spreading over all the country among the youths in particular.
Speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Woodlands Hall on Feb 6, Wednesday said she has joined the Karnataka Janatha Party which will support the women’s issues.
She said that she had submitted a recommendation after visiting the Home Stay in August to government, but it has not implemented it.
Manjula said that the government must form a special task force to tackle the drug mafia. The police department must form a special cell for the missing cases of girls.
The congress party leaders including Oscar Fernandes visited the home stay and staged protest against the report submitted but now after the death of Sneha due to drug, is not opposed by them at all, she said.
The condolence to Sneha can be given by providing justice to her death and track down drug mafia, he said.
