Mangalore : Former chief minister and BJP National Vice President DV Sadananda Gowda said some of the decisions taken by the Congress government in the state was creating problems for the people.
Addressing reporters at the District BJP office on May 24, Friday, DVS said the government in its haste was taking wrong decisions and resorting to politics of hatred.
He strongly criticized the government plans to shelve the constitution of new taluks on the pretext of shortage o funds. This when the government has given its green signal for projects worth Rs 4000 crores. This has proved that the government was resorting to revenge politics, DVS said.
On the chief minister’s statement of bringing Udupi Krishna Mutt and Gokarna Mahabaleshwara Temple under Mujrai Department he said the government should not act in such a way as to hurt religious sentiments.
On cheap alcohol issue, DVS said the government was only trying to do harm to people of the rural areas.
Padmanabha Kottary, district BJP President informed that a Jail Bharo agitation was planned on May 27 to protest against the misrule of the UPA government at the centre.
Nithin Kumar from Fisheries Corporation, Rajgopal Rai, Media spokesperson, Pushpalatha, District Vice President were also present.
