Mangalore : Addressing the press meet held in circuit house Mangalore on June 22nd, Babu Rao Chinchanasur, State minister for textile, Port and Inland transport disclosed that Govt has already sanctioned Rs. 50 Crores as a temporary allotment for the prevention of sea erosion in coastal Karnataka, Specially Dakshina Kannada and Udupi
R. Mohan, Director department of port and inland transport, gave details of ADB aided artificial reef project as a permanent solution for the sea erosion. He said that project will coast 12.6 corers and first phase will start from Ullal and Kotepura soon. State govt is waiting for the approval of central govt for the establishment of Maritime board in Mangalore, he added.
