Mangalore : Union Minister for Corporate Affairs M Veerappa Moily has said that the state government had failed to present the facts and ground reality of Cauvery river basin before the Supreme Court as well as the Cauvery River Authority.
Speaking to reporters at Circuit House in Mangalore on October 14, Sunday, he said Tamil Nadu had good water storage in Mettur dam and that there was actually no need to release water to that state.
On Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s scheduled visit to Mangalore on October 18, Moily said it would help in strengthening the party organization for the coming ejection.
On the allegations of Aravind Kejriwal on Robert Wadhra, Moily said it was politically motivated.
Later, addressing party workers, he exhorted party men to maintain unity as it would go a long way in helping the party win the next election.
