Bangalore : In order to fill the vacancies caused by retirement of teachers, Karnataka government will recruit around 8,000 school teachers by next March, said Honourable Minister for primary and secondary education, Vishveshwara Hegde Kageri.
Speaking to the media representatives, he also said that after the retirement age was increased from 58 to 60 years, none of the teachers were retired in last two years.
This year about 8,000 teachers would attain superannuation and their vacancies would be filled, he informed.
The centre was perceptive against Karnataka while sanctioning high schools under National Middle School Programme. There are only 80 such schools which has been approved for the state to the present day.
