Mangalore : The State law department has recommended the State government to reject the church attack report submitted by Justice B K Somashekar Commission since there was opposition in the interim and final reports.

It is learnt that the state government had constituted a panel of commission to probe a series of attacks on churches and prayer halls in September 2008, four months later BJP government took charge.

The commission submitted a final report to the government in 2011 which gave a clean chit to the BJP government and its wing Sangh Parivar.

The commission during the interim report had felt that Sangh Parivar had a role in these attacks.
