Mangalore: Pilikula in the outskirts of Mangalore which is already a major tourist attraction, will be adding another attraction. It is a science Park. The construction works of the same are underway and are likely to be completed by October end.
The Science Park is coming up under the leadership of the National Council of Science of Kolkata and the Union and State governments are spending a total of Rs 12 crores for the purpose. The park will come up on the left of the road leading to Pilikula Nisaragadhama.
This would be the second such park in the state, the first one in Dharwad at the Karnataka University premises. This park has even been inaugurated on February 27. There are plans to have a similar park even in Mysore.
The Park has many things which provide an answer to the inquisitiveness regarding science in students. The nation’s third 3D planetarium will also come up at the same science park.
