Udupi: Three strangers in a gang robbed yashoda K. J. while going on Thursday night(October 6) near Shiribeedu Junction to catch a bus to kodavur. They duped her by saying they were from Police department, and she should not wear golden ornaments in public, as a murder had taken place nearby.
Yashoda removed her necklaces worth Rs1.40 lakhs(or 7.5 Pawan gold) and put them in her bag. The pretender searched her bag as if he was a sub-inspector. When yashoda got into the bus, she found that her bag was empty. The strangers had taken away the gold.
