Bangalore: The BBMP is not taking care of street dogs in city and the dog hungry for flesh in Yelahanka on Friday night. The child was dragged out by several dogs, bitten by them by turns, left to die after being eaten up partly.
The dead boy (Sudeep) belonged to constriction workers from Bihar to city . The mother Nirmala and father Sanjay have 5 other kids, all sleeping on roadside on the fateful day. The dead boy is their 5th child.
The sixth was expected and the children came to see their mother in the hospital, but the ward persons did not allow them in. They slept in the hospital compound, when at midnight, the tragedy occurred. The dead body was found on search by the parents in panic.
On hearing their cries, people around demonstrated against BBMP. The BBMP Health Committee Chief Geetha tried to console the bereaved family. MLA Vishwanath Gowda also joined in to control the situation. Police are investigating the case.
