Mangalore: Nearly 11 electric poles were razed to the ground after a huge tree got uprooted in Ekkur on Saturday evening when rains accompanied with heavy winds lashed the area.

Electricity supply to the entire area was disrupted and traffic was disrupted on the area. In Pandeshwar too a tree fell on the police quarters at Pandeshwar damaging the quarters and a bike.

However, no one was hurt in both the incidents.
