Udupi: The Indian Meteorological Department and the Meteorological Department of Bengaluru have warned that strong winds will hit over the western coast of Karnataka from Mangalore to Karawara around 11:30 pm onAugust 7, Friday.

The fastest wind blows 50 to 60km per hour along the coast of Karnataka, resulting in 3.5 to 5.7 meter high waves are likely to hit the shore. It said the fishermen of the West Coast would not go down to the sea for fishing.
