Kasargod: Students of Melparamba Chandragiri School have assaulted school head master and a teacher on Thursday.

V Ibrahim (45) and P T Sunny (50) are the injured persons. They have been admitted to Kasargod general hospital.

A group of students and the teaching staff were having fight between them in connection with the college building. Students had boycotted the classes also.

The school has been constructed under natural calamities compensation fund and the school was used to conduct the classes during regular timings and during natural calamities victims are supposed to stay in the building.

Ground floor was allotted for 10th standard and computer classes and the first floor was allotted to the 12th standard students. But the 12th standard students were demanding for the ground floor and they started fighting for it.

Though the school administration called for a meeting on Thursday, the result was nil. The fight continued and ended up in assaulting the teachers.

Police have increased the security inside the campus to avoid the undesirable incidents.
