Mangalore : The students and lecturers of Karavali Institute of Technology celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights with joy and gaiety at College campus on October 21, Tuesday.

The students along with lecturers celebrated the festival by bursting crackers and by exchanging greetings.

G R Education Trust and Karavali College founder president S Ganesh Rao, inaugurated the celebration by lighting the lamp.

The institution celebrated the festival a day in advance in order to make them a way to celebrate the festival with their parents on Wednesday October 22.

The girls dressed in traditional attires welcomed the guests and gathering lighting the traditional earthen lamps. The students also presented cultural programme on the occasion.

College director Lata Rao, and other faculty members were present on the occasion.
