Mangalore : Children from different schools under the aegis of Kerala Samajam in Mangalore organized a silent march from Kerala Samajam to DC Office on June 25, Tuesday against the Manipal gang rape.
Addressing the protestors at DC Office Kerala Samajam President TK Rajan said thate the accused involved in the Manipal gang rape must be immediately arrested and given sever punishment.
Rajan also request the government to take necessary steps to ensure that such incident never happen anywhere in the state.
Vice President Maxim Sebastian, said that Manipal and Mangalore are education hubs, where thousands of students from across the country pursue their higher studies. It is the responsibility of government to students’ safety in the state.
Vice Principal of SDM Law College PD Sebastian, also spoke on the occasion.
The students from Shree Devi College and Sarojini Madhusudan Kushe School also participated in the rally, he said.
