Mangalore : The student of SDM organized a protest rally to support Anna Hazare in a big way on Aug 20 Saturday. Although as many students from various colleges across the district have organized protest meets and rallies and submitted memorandums, urging the union government to pass the Jan Lokpal Bill.

A large number of students gathered at 9:30 a.m. in the college campus and set out on a protest march through Navabharath Circle before returning to the college campus.

Dr. Devraj K., the principal of the college and other staff members, also participated in the protest and encouraged the students to raise their voice against corruption.

The college had taken the permission of the police to organize a protest rally.
