Mangalore : The students of Dr. M. V. Shetty College of Social Work in association with Mangalore City Corporation (MCC), organized a street play to create awareness on Malaria near Lady Goschen Hospital on October 5, Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, health officer Dr. Sudarshan, appreciated the efforts and interest of the students for attempting to create public awareness on malaria.
He said that the public can easily be educated on malaria and other vector-borne diseases through such street plays, which do not need much of education.
Further more number of students from other colleges must also conduct such kind of street plays as a service to society, he said.
Dr. Arun, district malaria control officer, inaugurated the event.
