Bantwal : The Polytechnic students continued their protest against vice principal and lecturers on September 1, Monday demanding immediate suspension of the three lecturers.
Reportedly, college principal had submitted a report on students protest to polytechnic education department. Later, the department visited the college and collected the required information. They also accepted the written complaints from the students.
The students also informed the officers about shortage of toilets and also groupism among the lecturers. The officers in turn assured the students to discussing with the higher officials and take action again it.
ABVP secretary of Mangalore unit Jayaprakash said that in spite of holding a government job; Lecturer Dr Channagiri Gowda is also doing private works. This has been also informed to the investigating team. The protest will continue until he is suspended.
The Police force was deployed to ensure security at the college premises and control the situation.
