Subrahmanya : The state capital is shifting to the capital of temple cities, Subramanya in Kukke. CM Yeddyurappa at Kukke Subrahmanya temple on Sunday said that his govt. is laying emphasis on development of people’s(Muzrai) endowment temples, especially at Subrahmanya where the first phase of development work had been completed according to him.
Speaking to Press reporters after visiting temple on Sunday, CM indicated that this hill temple of historic importance was being renovated at a cost of 180 crores. He also cited Male Mahadeshwara ( Nanjagud) and such other hill temples as well. Kukke will have 3 phases of development. The second phase relates to drinking water supply and underground drainage works. 240 watts sub-station to supply electricity will also set up.
Roads leading to all famous temples in DK and Udupi will be renovated CM declared. A meeting is called in may of ministers in charge, MP’s and MLA’s to discuss the prevision of basic facilities to pilgrims.
An amount of Rs 5 crores will be given to desilting of tanks in every constituency through tender calls, with work to be completed by June end to fill up tank beds with rains, CM said.
