Mangalore: Sudhakar Yermal habitually appears to collect awards in photo contests year after year. For his excellence, yermal who works for(Kannada daily) Vijaya Karnataka has won the first prize in the wildlife sequences photo competition, organized at Pilikula, Mudushedde by the local authorities. Ms. Shankari  R.P. took the second place.

Yermal is well known for his adventurous and daring photography of wildlife in natural surroundings. His road accidents pictures alerted DK traffic police to tighten laws and public vigilance on roads.

Ms. Shankari is a decade-old professional photographer and wife of senior photojournalist Ravi Posavanike.
