Udupi : Puthige Math seer Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji tested positive for coronavirus on Tuesday July 21.

He had gone to the hospital for a check on Monday night in the wake of the fever. His  throat swab was sent for testing,  report received  on Tuesday and confirmed Corona Positive.

He got admitted into KMC Hospital Manipal and his treatment is in progress at the said hospital.

The Swamiji was to initiate his annual Chaturmasa Vruta this time at Padigaru Math on Tuesday. The devotees of the Math and disciples of the Swamiji have offered prayers to the Lord seeking his early recovery.

His health condition is stated to be stable.
