Mangaluru : The bail application filed by Anil Lobo Chairman of MCC Bank Is Dismissed By 3rd ADDL. District Sessions Judge, Mangalore.
The bail application was filed by accused Anil Lobo under section 483 of BNSS.
Anil Lobo is accused of abetting the suicide of the late Manohar Pereira on the 17th of last Month. Anil Lobo was arrested by Mangalore Police on the 18th of December but he managed to get himself admitted to a private hospital on the Medical Certificate of Dr Ashok Pandit, Urologist of Yennopya Hospital, Kodialbail, Mangalore for the treatment of Hydrocele.
Mr Jeevan Pereira brother of the deceased already filed a complaint against Dr Ashok Pandit in Karnataka Medical Council for unethical conduct and asked for the cancellation of his Medical Registration.
This high-profile case is creating uneasiness in the Catholic Christian Community as Mangalore Catholic Cooperative Bank is one of the prime banks of the community. Many of them are asking for a thorough investigation into the affairs of the bank by the RBI to reinforce the trust in the bank.
The police asked for Police remand of accused Anil Lobo which will be heard tomorrow by the Magistrate.
