Monisha (23) and Mohit (23) are the twins. Elder sister Monisha had called Mohith on the morning of Thursday, August 16 and had enquired about Mohith’s well being. She did not inform him anything about the incessant rain. Mohith told her to be alert. She said “Okay. I do not have much charge left in my mobile and I will call you later.” Now I got to see her lifeless body,” said a wailing Mohit, who is the only one left alive because he was away at Tiptur where he is employed in Selco Company.
“I had visited home some time ago. I never imagined that such a tragedy will take place,” said a teary-eyed Mohit.
Now Mohit is residing with his uncle in Sullia. He just cannot imagine going towards home. His relatives and friends are consoling him. The dead bodies of his father Basappa and sister Monisha were found and were cremated after the post-mortem on Sunday, August 19.
Monisha, sister of Mohit, had completed MCA from Mysuru. She had completed her apprenticeship in Bengaluru and returned home some time ago. However, fate has curtailed her dream of a good job. Her body was found in a canal, a little away from her home.
