Sullia : Sharat Kumar (34), a surveryor in the Survey Department office in Sullia was trapped by the Lokayukta while he was accepting bribe from a person for survey, sketching and plotting of his 1.25 acre land.

Most surprising of all was that the surveyor was caught in a bar as he was handed over the bribe at the bar by the applicant as requested by the surveyor, One Padmanabha Koingae of Kolchar in Aletty village had approached the office for survey of his land. The surveyor who initially demanded Rs 4500, raised the amount to s 6000. An initial amount of Rs 3200 had been paid and the surveyor was harassing for the balance amount which he said should be paid at the bar.

The applicant had complained to the Lokayukta and the surveyor trapped while accepting bribe.
