Dharmasthala: The Kanyakumari Yuvathi Mandala of Dharmasthala had arranged a summer camp for children in the town recently under the guidance of Smt. Hemavathi V Heggade, Supriya Harshendra Kumar and Shradha Amith. Baby Maanya inaugurated the camp by lighting the traditional lamp.
The song ‘Chukubuku Chukubuku Raile’ enlivened the students and encouraged them to enjoy the camp. The 67 children at the camp actively participated in various activities including group discussions, acting, singing, extempore, clay model making, preparing greeting cards etc. They also enjoyed hearing and telling short stories, had a quiz and were introduced to various cereals, pulses and vegetables.
The participant children were also served special delicacies for that homely touch at the camp. Smt. Hemavathi Heggade, Supriya Harshendra Kumar and Shradha themselves served food to the children and enjoyed the company of the kids.
Geetha, Sadashiva, Bhageeratha, Srinivas and others were the resource persons.
