New Delhi: CM Bookanakere Yeddyurappa’s infamous administration failure has upset even the distant Supreme Court (SCI) to the extent that, it has openly stated that, if he did not have courage to acquire land for certain known purposes, just because it goes against an imaginary law and order situation then he better give up the right to rule the state.
He SCI was expressing its strong opinion in a case of enquiry into absence of land acquisition for the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) and the long delay in the procedure on a account of BJP govt’s hesitation to go ahead with procuring of land. The SCI reaction was in view of state explanation given for the land acquirement in the corridor.
“Why delay, where is the law order problem to acquire land? If you are so afraid, you better go away and rule not” the SCI castigated the Karnataka Govt on an urgent matter on May 4.
The bench that embarrassed the BJP govt, had 3 judges, in Justices VS Sirpurkar, RM Lodha and TS Thakur, enquire into the BMIC case. The Yeddyurappa Govt is in a quandary now, as it has failed in its duty so far to expedite works.
The Project was started with the sole purpose of reducing the distance between Mysore and Bangalore by road, along with 5 satellite townships due on way. But some legal complaints and cross-case have been registered against this project, only to harm it. The Advocate General, Ashok Harnahalli, is representing the ruling BJP in lame-dick case.
Former PM and present Hassan MP, HD Devegowda has suddenly become stonger, by SCI’s judicial anger in action against CM Yeddyurappa, whose govt, Gowda wants overthrow. Kumaraswamy is close behind the father (Devegowda) to expose CM’s scandals and failures one by one now, to drag him in the dust.
