Mangaluru artiste shines in Bengaluru
The famous Mangalorean cine star Suresh Manglooru, was born on 14 March 1953 at Attavar. He who was appointed as the senior supervisor at the BSNL Company from 1973 to 2003 had shown interest towards acting. During the course of his profession, he acted in several dramas organized at the BSNL Club day. Suresh who was interested in acting showed his talent from the class fifth. He further joined the theatre along with K N Taylor. The drama ‘Yerenla Namborchi’ with Machendranath Pandeshwar gained him popularity in the field of theatre. Later he worked with other tulu directors like Devdas Kapikad, Vijay Kumar Kodialbail and Naveen D Padil.
His first step towards the small screen was in the tele soap ‘Sumathi’ directed by S Narayan and was telecasted in Udaya TV. While his role as the politician in ‘Preethi Illada Mele’. His other serials are ‘Eshwari’, ‘Agnishike’, ‘Ella Maerthiruvaga’, Hase Mane’and now working on Venu Bolanje’s ‘Jogula’ and ‘Arundathi’.
When it comes to big screen he is also not the junior most but performed the small role as a lawyer in the sandalwood film ‘Prema Jyothi’ in 1982. Later his roles in ‘Mathad Mathad Mallige’, Taj Mahal’, ‘Milana’, Janumadha Gelathi’, ‘Vamshi’ and recently in ‘Maleyalli Jotheyalli’ was like and praised by the audience. He has received the ‘Aryabhata Cultural Organization Award’ in the year 2007 as a best villain character for the serial ‘Preethi Illadha Mele’. Apart from the field of acting, he had also devoted his leisure for music, sports and reading and walking in the morning and evening. He was also district level carom champion for more than ten years.
