Mangalore: A meeting to discuss the rehabilitation of Endosulfan victims was held at the DC office on October 9 under the presidentship of Deputy Commissioner Dr Channappa Gowda.
Following the meeting, District Health Officer Dr OR Srirangappa said a survey already conducted by the district administration has identified 77 villages in Belthangady, Puttur Sullia and Bantwal as Endosulfan affected areas.
As directed by the government, a survey of endosulfan affected people in these villages will be done and the repot will be submitted to the DC
Taluk level committees comprising Taluk Health officers, representatives from Dharmasthala Rural Development Project and CDPO have been formed.
