Mangalore: City MLA, J.R. Lobo attended the meeting of certain officials in connection with renovation of Sri Suryanarayana Temple in Bajjody on Sunday Nov.17.

This Sun God temple is a rare one in South India like Konark in Orissa State.

The renovation as become necessary in view of the age of the temple and natural wear and tear.

Praveenchandra Alva, Asha D’Silva, Keshav Maroli and Prakash Alape were present, along with Sooryanarayana temple managing trustee Balakrishna Kottari and K P Shetty renovation Committee president were present.

Mangalore taluk Tahsildar Mohan Rao, municipal joint director Raghu, assistant commissioner Prashant, municipal executive engineer Kantaraj, religious endowment officers were present on the occasion.
