Mangalore : BJP has decided to form the fishermen committee and redress them, said Sushma Swaraj, Leader of the opposition Party, Loksabha.
Speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Ocean Pearl on April 30, Saturday, she said that this type of fishermen’s convention is the second series and the first was held in Vishakapatnam.
She said that there are five issues related to a fisherman like Life and liberty, livelihood, habitation, education and health which must be taken care. But around 500 fishermen from Tamil Nadu were being killed by the Srilankan Navy and 500 are still suffering in Pakistani Jail.
The government should order an inquiry to find out the source behind the leakage of Public Accounts Committee report.
She said the allegations as baseless leveled against PAC Chairman Murli Manohar Joshi that he was responsible for the leakage of the report to the media.
Deputy Speaker N Yogesh Bhat, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Padmanabha Kottary, the district president of the BJP, Sharadha Chandrashekar and others were present.
