Mangalore : H.K. Patil, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj inaugurated a programme ‘Viveka Samsmarana’ organized by Ramakrishna Mission to mark the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda at Swami Vivekananda auditorium of Ramakrishna Mutt on Sep 16, Monday.
Addressing the gathering, Minister said that Swami Vivekananda had great love towards the India youths and spoke the issues related to them, but never asked the youths to follow him, but all his thoughts came true after his death.
Patil said that Vivekananda always feared of losing the bond between youths and nation, but looking at the present situation of the country, one can feel that his prediction on nation’s future is coming true. Today many talented Indian students are migrating to abroad which is a dangerous symbol. Hence country must use the human resource of the country to maintain the Indian Economy.
Human Networking Academy, Bangalore Director Prof K Raghottam Rao and General Manager, CSR department, MRPL Sushilchandra M were the resource persons for the ‘Viveka Chaitanya’, a developmental camp.
Swami Jitakamanandaji, president of Ramakrishna Math and Swami Veereshananda Saraswathi, president of Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashrama, Tumkur were present.
