Mangalore, Jan 18: A number of infrastructure development projects will be hurled in the district in the coming days said District-in-charge Minister Krishna J. Palemar.
He was speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Jan 18, Wednesday. Explaining about the projects, he said that construction of synthetic track worth Rs. 8 crore will be done at Mangala Stadium and Rs. 3.09 crore has already been sanctioned for it. While the other projects are Pumpwell bus terminus, footpaths, storm water drains, repair of interior roads, and garbage disposal sites will be done.
The projects worth Rs. 30.6 crore have already been launched and the amount of Rs. 4.89 crore is being spent on 74 rural roads, Rs. 5 crore on lake development, and Rs. 3.53 crore on grants to religious places such as churches, temples, and mosques.
Speaking on the beatification of city along with the assistance of builders and developers, he said that there was lot of opposition, hence it has not worked.
